| Retail sales jumps 9.9% in November in Brazil |
The volume of retail sales in Brazil for the month of November increased 9.9% YoY and 1.1% MoM , above the average of market expectations (9.5% YoY). Highlights include Furniture and Appliances segments (20.5% YoY and +2.4% MoM), still benefited from a month of strong credit, while the highest weight segment (50% of the index), Hyper and Supermarkets , showed weaker results (5 6% YoY and 0.1% MoM), reflecting higher food prices. The 3-month moving average reached 0.5%. Thus, the accumulated in 2010 slowed from 11.1% to 11.0%.
